Why maple and tulip? Who are we and what is our goal with this blog?
First of all, welcome and thanks for dropping by! We are two Hungarian -like to think of ourselves as young- women living abroad far far away from our beloved country. Etelka lives in Toronto, Canada (that’s the maple), Monika in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (there is the tulip). We would like to share our stories, photos, experiences, struggles with the World and with others who are happen to be in the same shoes. From some survival tips to some every day life things, we let you peek into our personal life and so you will be able to know us even though we probably live thousands of miles away from you and also from each other. To help survive but mostly enjoy the time what an other country/continent/people/language have to offer. We would love to keep it funny, ironic but also very real. We are not professionals in any way of blogging or jurnalism, please don’t be very harsh on us. We would also like to show the personal road/bike…etc trips we made in our 2nd homes (and anywhere else we had travelled before), to give an idea what you should or maybe should NOT visit while entering these beautiful countries.
